PV Thunder is looking for coaches who coached in the Montgomery County Rec Leagues (or similar) who want to take their core players to the next level of competition. Your core players will form our new 2nd or 3rd Grade Teams starting this March 2016.  Then at our Spring Tryouts in March we will evaluate, select, and add top new players from around Montgomery County and Washington DC to form the team. 

PV Thunder will add its key trainers, club culture, and club philosophy of Skill Development, Teamwork, Sportsmanship, and Fun  to make the teams a success.

Formed in the spring of 2012
Member of the Potomac Valley Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) region and the national AAU organization.
Players reside in and around Bethesda, MD and Washington, DC area.
Expert trainers running skill development sessions (Harding Elite Sports; Always in Pursuit; Pat The Rock Skills Academy; Drills & Skills Basketball Training; E-Train University)
Almost all the PV Thunder girls play another travel sport (soccer, lacrosse, tennis, field hockey)
Teams participate is several fun team building events throughout the season (Mystics game, college games (Maryland, American, Marymount), bowling, haunted house, etc.)
Guest appearances at practices (Crystal Langhorne, University of Maryland, American University, & WNBA)
Roster limits to ensure significant playing opportunities and experiences for all players; a successful model since the organization started!
Positive team environment; we keep it fun; focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship


The POTOMAC VALLEY THUNDER (PV Thunder) is a member of the Potomac Valley Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) region and the national AAU organization. Formed in the spring of 2012, the PV Thunder organization is comprised of young female athletes residing in and around the Bethesda, MD and Washington, DC area.
